Dear owners of Prophet passes,
could you send me directions to that money tree y'all obviously managed to find? Thanks in advance.

HOW TO REMAIN STANDING WHEN JENSEN UNLEASHES HIS SMILE ON YOU?
Yeah, I have absolutely no idea. Sorry. As soon as I figure it out, I'll let you know.
I mean, the last time he smiled at me, I completely forgot about my headache for the next 15 minutes, so... *shrugs*

GIFTS
If you have a gift for anyone who is not Jensen or Jared, you'll probably be able to give your gift directly to them. Although you might have to be a bit creative. You can try doing it during dessert party or karaoke or maybe even during autographs. Just be aware that Creation volunteers who follow guests around most likely won't be happy about that.
But if the gifts are for Jensen and/or Jared, then it gets tricky. Creation won't take them, because:
You could try and give them your gifts during autographs. But if you do that, be careful and make sure that your gift is clearly visible. You do NOT wanna find yourself on the radar of their many bodyguards.
Or you can try and give the gift to Clif and ask him to give it to Js (especially if he already knows you from Twitter), but I wouldn't count on it. I mean, what's he supposed to do with hundreds of gifts? (Yeah, you won't be the only gift giver there.)
(Speaking of hundreds of gifts, just keep in mind that even if they really want to, it's quite possible that Js won't take the gifts with them if they have to fly back home after the con.)
As for giving the guests chocolate or candy or any kind of food... Well. Imagine you had some pretty passionate fans. Now, would you eat something that came from a person you don't know and could very well be Stephanie in disguise?
Now, just to be clear, I never tried to give a gift to any of the guests and these here are just my paranoid two cents. And I really hope that, if you have a gift for someone, you'll be able to give it to them. But just be prepared that it might not go as planned.

WHAT (NOT) TO WEAR
First of all, keep in mind that whatever you put on in the morning, you'll probably be wearing for the rest of the day. So, wear something you'll be comfortable in. If there are any photo ops in your schedule, wear something nice, cause you'll be looking at that outfit for the rest of your life. I don't know if it's just me, but it seems that it's always a bit coldish in the hotels, so layers can be good. (I always have a hoodie and then take it off for photo ops.)
And for dessert party... No need to overdress. I mean, you can if you really want to, but, let's say, jeans and a t-shirt are perfectly fine.
And shoes? Just keep in mind that you'll have to walk in whatever you put on your feet. I do, however, usually wear my photo op shoes (12 cm heels) on Sunday cause Js are freakin' giants (:D), but after running around in them all day, it's pure bliss when I take them off.

EBAY
It doesn't matter whose name is on the ticket. It's all about the barcode now. I bought 2 Gold and 3 Jared photo op tickets on eBay and never had any problems. Just remember, if you're buying tickets on eBay, you're probably gonna pay more than the original price. (I say probably cause it depends on what you're buying. I actually paid less than the original price for two of my Jared photo ops.)
But do be careful. I've never heard of any auctions for SPN con tickets that weren't legit, but you don't want to fly for hours to get to a con just to find out that you were conned.

Checking in?
Yeah, I could get used to saying that.
It's a job in a hostel. Front desk + occasional housekeeping. I'm not really sure how that would work. Unless they have two people at the front desk at all times. Which I doubt. If they had enough money for two paychecks, they'd probably hire a receptionist AND a housekeeper.
The only problem is that it's not actually a part-time job. As in I'd be working 8 hours a day. But I wouldn't be regularly employed. It would be doable once I go back to translating soaps, because I have to translate 5 episodes a week and it takes me 5 hours max for one episode. So, the "part-time" job would actually be 40 hrs/week and my "full-time" job would be 25 hrs/week. Like I said, doable.

Congrats to Genevieve and Jared!
Yes, Genevieve is pregnant. Jared just tweeted that.
Looks like I was right. Hand on belly = a pregnant woman.
(If you want any more predictions, you'll have to wait until Oct 24, cause I'm psychic only every other Monday. *nods* Sorry. :D lol)
Can't believe this pic got more than 3000 views. http://twitpic.com/6yd8xh
And that @jarpad faved it. :D http://twitter.com/#!/jarpad/favorites
Or before (that would work too), so LAcon could be baby's first con. Awww. :)
I kinda hoped we'd finally see Genevieve on LAcon's guest list. Well, maybe in 2013, yeah?
ETA (Oct 8, 2012): Apparently, that screencap of Gen with her hand on her belly kinda got a life of its own. Which baffles me no end. It never occurred to me when I capped it that something like that could happen. Weird.

Let's call it maintenance
I finally did some cleaning up. I deleted all my con photos from Photobucket and uploaded them to Picasa web albums. You can find my VanCon 2009, ChiCon 2009, LAcon 2010, VanCon 2010, LAcon 2011 con photos here -> link .
And I also ununlisted some of my unlisted con videos on YT. Link Links to (still) unlisted videos are somewhere in this blog.

I am blonde, light blonde... Part 2
I am blonde, light blonde... Part 1
Now we're getting somewhere. I wanted to go blonde even before LAcon 2011, but my hairdresser said she wouldn't bleach my hair and that we'd get there gradually. So, I was mostly orange (bloody red pigment) until yesterday when she said that she can't get rid of that orange tint and that she'll make me highlights instead. And OMG, it's so much better. Still not perfect, but better.
So, I went from this (it looked even more orange under artificial light):

My prized possession
This post is a kind of a follow-up to something I wrote in March: Just a thought .
I finally bought a battery charger that can work in Europe AND in the US (input: 100-240V, 50-60 Hz, and has European and US plugs). It's a MQN09-E-4-3UTG with 4 eneloop AA batteries. At the rate I go through batteries, this charger's gonna save me tons of money. I can't believe I waited this long to buy it, but better late than never, I guess.

Are you decisive? Well, yes and no.
I still have a day to decide whether to apply for that job in exurb or not. I mentioned that to my mom and she told me I can get there by train and started telling me how one night my sister almost ended up on the other side of the country because she took the wrong train, so, y'know, I should apply. And I was like: OMG, that was you trying to tell me to do it??! I thought you were discouraging me!!!
Needless to say, I am somewhat discouraged.

Slim pickings
What does one write in one's cover letter when one applies for the job of a poll taker in supermarkets? Yes, of course I can write? Sure, I can stand for hours? IMHO, my pretending to be polite is Oscar-worthy?
