OK, so I obviously decided to upload a few videos. I'm still not sure if I want to upload everything, but I immediately knew that I wanted to upload these two. Because there are some things people should get a chance to see. :)


In conclusion: Happy belated birthday to Jensen and happy soon to be birthday to the Padababy. :)

Con videos

First of all, I was a naughty con-goer and I do have them. But.

Here's the thing.

I started feeling really bad about uploading con videos to YouTube. I actually felt like this last year too, but I did it anyway because I knew that there were ppl who would want to see them. And now here we are, BurCon 2012, one year later, I'm a year older smarter. And the feeling didn't go away. It actually intensified.

I probably should've stayed away from the REC button, but I just couldn't not record some things. It's nice to have something tangible and not just your memories.

I guess I managed to grow a conscience. Or whatever you wanna call it. I mean, would Jared really want that Are-my-teeth-clean video shot from half a meter away to find its way to YouTube? OK, so he probably wouldn't mind, he's outgoing like that, but if it was me, no, I wouldn't want that. BTW, I do that with pics too. If they are really unflattering or weird, I don't post them. I mean, would Jensen really want everyone to see his uvula? (Man, that is one disturbing photo.)

Idk, I'll probably cave and upload some insignificant stuff, but I don't think I'll be able to make myself upload everything I have. And yes, that includes the last 9 minutes of Jensen & Jared Q&A.

And that funny Let-me-show-you-my-teeth video with the camera practically in Jared's face. Damn you my newly grown whatever it is!

It's a bit too up close and personal.

But it's kinda cute. I'm maybe a bit torn.

I'll tell you what. Get Jared's permission and I'll upload it.
EDIT: OMG, there are some pretty stupid ppl out there. Of course I'm just kidding. I don't really want you to go and get Jared's permission. I'm absolutely rolling my eyes right now. And let me say it again - yes, I was just KIDDING. Đizs.
For those who don't know how to read between the lines! What I actually said was: I won't upload it (unless I change my mind about the whole thing and in that case that will have nothing to do with Jared) because it never even occurred to me that somebody would actually go and ask permission. At least, no sane person. I see now where my mistake was. Apparently, I was giving some of you too much credit.

I guess I finally gave up. Well, not completely, obviously, but yeah. Videotaping cons just became too mentally exhausting.

Apparently, the story goes like this: we are not allowed to videotape because actors requested that and even have it in their contracts.

I'm calling bull.

At least to that s in actors. Because, let's face it, most guests don't mind. They joke about it during their panels. Louden Swain even tweeted the links to the videos last year. So I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that they really don't care. Plus, none of them is at every con. Well, except Jared. Dude is dedicated. (But Jensen and Misha come close.) And yet, somehow, the rule about videotaping never changes. No matter who's actually at the con.

So, which actors, if any, have it in their contracts?

I'd say it's probably not Misha, he just doesn't seem the type. Although people CAN surprise us.
And after Jared's 'Stop the cameras!' at this year's LAcon, I'm thinking it's not in his contract either. I mean, if he was yelling Stop the cameras, he obviously knew people were videotaping and obviously didn't care. (He yelled it as a joke after somebody said something bad about CW. Like, to make sure ppl from CW don't see it on YT.)
So, that leaves Jensen. Which is actually quite believable. But I'd like to think that he would've said something by now if he really had a problem with the whole videotaping thing. And it would've been more effective than Creation's arbitrary rules. Yes, I'm calling them arbitrary. Pics or it didn't happen. *nods*

There once was a...

...video with both video and audio. I made it out of my VanCon 2010 photos and my photo ops and added Cold as ice and Without you to make it less, y'know, soundless. But it turned out that Foreigner is owned by WMG and YouTube disabled the audio part of it. So I removed Cold as ice and added Crazy love (yes, the version with Jensen) and uploaded that to YouTube. Luckily, Jason Manns isn't owned by WMG so I didn't have to change everything all over again. This version here is the third version. It has only my photos. No photo ops and no other people's songs. It is my attempt at avoiding copyright issues.  
Mostly original version is still somewhere on YouTube, though.
