Next time I come up with a brilliant idea of buying Gold just in case I might go to a convention, just hit me over the head with something. The result will be pretty much the same, but at least it will be quicker.
I actually have a slight phonephobia (TG for emails, text messages and trams) and this was the first time in my life that I wished I could just call someone (potential buyers) and work out everything with them that way.
On the bright side, I was right. Silver is practically unsellable, but Gold? Yeah, if you want to sell it, it's as good as sold.

Gold for sale - DallasCon
SOLD
I wish I didn't have to say this, but... I'm selling my Gold ticket for DallasCon 2012.
When I bought it, I hoped I'd be able to go (even if it was a long shot), but since I didn't win the lottery (yeah, I was surprised about that, too), I just can't afford to go to Dallas this year. :(
Like I said, it's a Gold ticket, seat is C4, breakfast table 7. I'm selling it for $517 and accept only PayPal. When I receive the money, I'll e-mail you the PDF file.
It doesn't matter that my name is on the ticket. You don't have to change the name or notify Creation Ent. It's all about the bar code these days. Creation ppl don't check the name, they just scan the bar code. So you won't have any problems. And yes, I know that first-hand. ;)
In case you're wondering why I'm selling it like this and not on eBay, it's because of their limits and their fees. This would be the first item I'm selling, so I have a monthly limit of $500. And I guess, it's better this way since I won't have to pay eBay fees on top of PayPal fees. (Which are ridiculously high, BTW. *thumbs down*)

If it ain't broke... You can still go to a convention
I twisted my ankle yesterday.
It reminded me of my very first convention - VanCon 2009.
One month (give or take a few days) before VanCon I twisted my ankle. Badly. It hurt like hell and was swollen for a while. But it was more or less fine by VanCon. And then I wore my J, J and J&J photo op shoes (aka heels) on Sunday and it swelled again. But that's another story. One year later, before VanCon 2010, that ankle started hurting again, out of the blue. Anyways, it's nice to have these little good luck rituals. And it sure does beat throwing knives at myself, which I managed to do twice before two different conventions. *coughklutzcough* lol

No Texas for me this year
So, I'm definitely not going to Dallas this year. :(
I really wanted to go, but I just can't afford it. I mean, it was a long shot even when I bought the ticket, but I kinda hoped that I'd find a part-time job (or win the lottery) by now. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. So I can't go.
Guess it's time to sell my Gold ticket.
I'm just really :( right now.
Maybe next year, yeah?

Why did I even bother?
Why did I even bother to choose my flights to and from Rome so carefully?
I was notified that both (yes, both) flights have been canceled and was sent the new schedule. Which absolutely sucks!
The new flight to Rome? Is an hour longer with one stop, leaves 6 hours later so instead of arriving at 11 am, I'll arrive after 5 pm and will lose a whole day in Rome. And I'll need to find somebody to give me a ride to the airport here at 1 pm. People work at 1 pm! And on my way back, I'll have to wait 6 hours at FCO. I'm really not looking forward to that.
